When you purchase a brand-new pair of skates, they often come unsharpened, lacking both edges and a groove. At mySKATE, we offer complimentary sharpening for all skates purchased through us, however if you've bought blades elsewhere, they may arrive with a flat, square edge that requires sharpening before the skates can be used. We call this a square blade sharpen. 

 

PLEASE NOTE: Our registration process for sharpening has reccently changed. Please complete the following fields prior to adding the product to cart. There is no longer a registration form to complete.

This service requires you to leave your skates with us.

What to do

  3. You will receive an email notification when your skates are ready for collection.

Please Note:

  • Skates are left for services at your own risk
  • There may be a wait for hand sharpening. Skates are normally sharpened twice a week
  • Please hand your skates into a staff member, do not leave them unattended
  • If we do not receive contact from a customer, we reserve the right to dispose of any skates left longer than 6 months
